About the role

The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach serves in the College Athletic Department, under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Soccer Coach. The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in all aspects of the soccer program, including recruiting players, holding tryouts, and coaching the intercollegiate soccer team at Bryant & Stratton College. As representatives of the College, all coaches and student-athletes must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the soccer program.
  • Recruit players and hold tryouts.
  • Coach the intercollegiate soccer team at Bryant & Stratton College.
  • Become knowledgeable of all USCAA soccer rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
  • Travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved by the Athletic Director and Head Coach.
  • Supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling to ensure safety.
  • Promote the academic success of student-athletes by monitoring academic performance to ensure eligibility requirements are met and encouraging high academic standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games.
  • Drive vans to soccer games as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Soccer coaching experience at the high school level or above (required).
  • Soccer coaching experience at the college level (desired).
  • College recruiting experience (desired).
  • Familiarity with the Buffalo area high schools and club teams (desired).
  • First aid/CPR certification (a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
  • Familiarity with USCAA rules and regulations (a plus).
  • Clean driving record and a valid Driver License.

Schedule

Hours vary and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to best fit the needs of the team.

Pay

$6,500 annual stipend.
