ASSISTANT COACH - MEN'S BASEBALL
About the role
The Assistant Coach for Men's Baseball will assist in the planning and execution of the baseball program at Barstow College. Responsibilities include recruiting competitive players, planning and directing conditioning, training, practice, and athletic performance of student/athlete team members, maintaining team statistics and records, developing relationships with local high school coaches, and ensuring compliance with college rules and policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of the baseball program at Barstow College.
- Recruit competitive players.
- Plan and direct conditioning, training, practice, and athletic performance of student/athlete team members.
- Maintain team statistics and records.
- Develop and maintain a close relationship with local high school baseball coaches.
- Provide compliance with college rules and policies, the Commission on Athletics as well as other applicable regulatory agencies.
- Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications - Must have either an Associate’s Degree and six years coaching experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and two years experience.
- Must demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
