Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Athletic Director, coaches shall foster the quest for excellence by assisting in creating an educational and competitive experience for student athletes within an atmosphere of sportsmanship, developing individual and team potential by promoting high standards of competence, character, inclusivity, civility, and citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all student athletes.
  • Assist in organizing and managing practices and games.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to student athletes to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play among student athletes.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and administrative staff to ensure the success of athletic programs.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Coaching, or a related field.
  • Experience coaching at the secondary level.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Days and Hours for position will vary depending on the activity.

Position is for the 2026-2027 school year.

This position and its compensation amount is contingent upon sufficient funding, ability to satisfy public health standards as determined by the District using guidance from the Governor's Office, the Oregon Health Authority and other public health authorities. This information may or may not be known prior to the selected candidate being hired to fill this position. Changes in compensation for some positions may be subject to discussions with NCEA.
