Assistant Coach - Gymnastics

Pay

Assistant Coach stipend: Minimum $3,395, Maximum $4,185 per season.

Schedule

Season 2 runs from November to January (Fall). Placement is based on years of coaching experience according to the Middle School Coaches Salary Schedule.

• Applicants who apply within 5 days of posting receive guaranteed consideration per the Coaches collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• Meet district and WIAA requirements, including a valid background check.
• Head coaches must be at least 21 years old; assistant coaches must be at least 19 years old.
• Valid first‑aid and CPR certification.
• Complete the KSD online application process, including professional reference forms.
• Annually complete the WIAA general rules clinic, the sport‑specific WIAA‑approved rule clinic, and KSD Vector Training before the season begins.
• Complete concussion recognition and management with Return‑to‑Play Protocols training (renewed every 3 years).
• Complete Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness and Training (renewed every 3 years).
• Before the third year of coaching, complete a district‑approved Coaching Principles training, NFHS Coaches Fundamentals Course, WIAA Coaches School, or equivalent; repeat every 3 years.
• If hired, read and sign the KSD Coaches Manual.
