About the role

The Manville School District seeks a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as a Preferred Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity Softball team for the 2026-2027 school year. The position offers a stipend in accordance with the MEA contract.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the softball program
• Work closely with players to develop their skills and strategies
• Attend all home games and travel with the team as needed
• Participate in team meetings and other coaching responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Minimum of three years of successful coaching experience at the high school level
• Strong knowledge of softball rules and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Pass a background check
