Assistant Coach - Flag Football - HS
About the Role
Assist the head coach with the organization and implementation of a successful athletics program. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to support the development of a strong program that is focused on the growth of students, with a commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills, and sportsmanship. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with coaches, administrators, teachers, sponsors, students, parents, and members of the community to ensure that the school stands together in pride.
Previous coaching experience is strongly desired.
Responsibilities
- Support the growth and development of a successful Flag Football program and exemplary team of student athletes.
Environmental & Physical Demands
- Work is generally performed in a typical school sporting environment with standard facilities, equipment, and a moderate to loud noise level.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Regular travel within and across school district boundaries for sporting events.
- Occasional lifting of up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Frequent sitting, bending, squatting, reaching, standing, and running.
- Physical ability to coordinate and perform athletic practice drills.
- Vision, auditory, and mental acuity within normal ranges.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Flag Football basics, rules, preparation, and training.
- Prior coaching experience working with K-12 or a youth athletic organization.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and the ability to perform athletic training and drills.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills with a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written, graphic, and verbal instructions.

Pay
Stipend range: $0.01 USD – $10,000.00 USD (full salary range). Part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
Hiring range: $0.01 USD – $5,000.00 USD stipend.
Schedule
Seasonal position at ThunderRidge High School. Position is not one-year-only.
