About the role
Participation in sports and extracurricular activities has far‑ranging benefits that touch on many aspects of a child's development. High participation in activities, where students are engaged beyond the school day, enriches the overall school culture and climate, fosters stronger school spirit, and increases academic performance. The vision for the Allentown School District Athletics Department is to ensure that the athletic program is an integral component of the educational program, providing participants with an opportunity to promote physical well‑being, enhance self‑confidence, build school spirit, and promote a positive school climate while learning values such as teamwork and sportsmanship. ASD athletic programs are designed to meet students' interests and abilities and are varied in scope to attract wide participation.

- FBI Fingerprinting – unless otherwise indicated, only results from the Department of Education will be accepted
- School Personnel Health Record (completed by a licensed physician)
- Physical examination results (must be recent)
- Tuberculin testing results
