Assistant Coach, Baseball

About the role

This position will assist the Head Baseball Coach in managing the baseball team.

Responsibilities

• Attract student-athletes who align with our rigorous academic standards and core values
• Execute practice and game planning
• Work with the Athletics Department to implement a vision for New College, including:
  • Daily practice plans
  • Innovative statistical analysis
  • Building a championship culture for the program
  • Creating/Coaching a full slate of college games in Florida
• Mentor player-athletes and create a mentorship program to support students
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• Strong communication and recruiting skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed for the game schedule
