About the role
The College of Nursing (CON) is searching for a faculty member for a clinical track position to begin in Fall 2026. Experience in clinical nursing practice is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute as appropriate to the university’s undergraduate and graduate teaching missions by teaching clinical and other courses as assigned, while mentoring students for the college.
- Contribute to scholarship.
- Service as an advisor, mentor, and professional role model to students.
- Service to the college, university, and professional organizations.
Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or DNP degree at the time of appointment.
- Proficiency in written communication skills.
- Proficiency in oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Clinical expertise in nursing.
- Eligible for RN and/or APRN licensure in Rhode Island.
- Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
- Preferred Clinical practice experience in pediatrics, but open to other areas of clinical expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical and classroom teaching.
- Evidence and potential for clinical scholarship.
