Assistant Clinical Professor - Hospital Medicine

About the role

The Emory Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Medicine to join their team. This position is for an inpatient Hospital Medicine faculty physician for Emory.

Responsibilities

• Devote between 1% and 25% of your total professional effort to scholarly activities.
• Participate in teaching, including occasional lectures, small group and bedside teaching, preceptorship, and mentorship.
• Perform professional service duties, including history and physical examinations of patients being admitted to the hospital, assessing the acuity of hospitalized patients, bedside procedures, consultations services, order consultations, and ensuring appropriate continuity of care.
• Work with trainees, which may include allied health professionals, on some months.
• Your clinical schedule will be in accordance with internal Division policy and procedures and according to your actual clinical effort.

Requirements

You must have a medical degree, be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, and have completed a residency program in Internal Medicine.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Hospital Medicine, leadership skills, and a commitment to teaching and scholarly activity.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems are essential.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The clinical schedule will be in accordance with internal Division policy and procedures and according to your actual clinical effort.
