Responsibilities
- Participates with Program Administrator in development of department policies and procedures related to provision of nursing care to ambulatory patients.
- Participates in interviews, recommends selection, orients and evaluates professional nurse staff and other subordinate patient care providers for designated ambulatory patient population.
- Recommends corrective action, up to and including discharge as appropriate.
- Identifies training/development needs of staff to Ambulatory Clinical Manager to ensure continued development/maintenance of skills to meet nursing care standards.
- Identifies and recommends environmental/technological/personnel resources necessary to meet anticipated needs.
- Affords assistance in assessing quality of care, documenting compliance to ambulatory care standards, recommend corrective action and monitors effectiveness of interventions.
- May assist staff in implementing new concepts and technology within the area of responsibility.
- May function in expanded management role in absence of Ambulatory Program Administrator.
- Regularly functions as professional nurse to provide direct patient care.
- May participate in department-based research projects.
- Affords assistance to staff in implementing approved research findings into practice.
Qualifications
- Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least three years relevant experience, with demonstrated clinical and supervisory responsibilities, preferred.
- Active Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider with 2-3 years of pediatric hematology/oncology preferred.
Pay
$90,334.40 - $180,689.60
