Assistant Clinical Director - Licensed Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide a weekly two-hour group supervision to a diverse cohort of trainees, including practicum students and associates. Oversee 8 interns in their experience with us.
• Provide 3 hours of individual supervision.
• Lead some didactic training seminars for interns.
• Serve as a clinical and professional mentor, modeling reflective practice, clinical depth, and ethical care.

Requirements

• Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in the state of California
• Solid foundation in psychodynamic theory and practice, with a commitment to depth-oriented psychotherapy
• Supervision experience with early-career clinicians across various levels (practicum, postdoc, associate)
• A collaborative spirit, appreciation for nuance, and a deep respect for the transformational process of clinical training

Schedule

• ~10 hours/week (includes ~5 onsite hours Wednesdays in San Rafael, remaining hours remote)
• Flexible start date — open until filled

About Us

We provide low-cost counseling and psychological services to individuals and families who do not have the resources to pay full fees for professional help. Fees are established on a sliding scale and based on one's ability to pay. Our private nonprofit is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and has been serving Marin since 1977. Last year we provided over 5,500 hours of psychotherapy to adults, children, families, and couples. The primary mode of treatment is long-term psychotherapy. Other services offered include crisis intervention, brief therapy, psychological testing, relationship counseling, play therapy and group therapy, as well as workshops and seminars addressing topics of community concern.
