Assistant Claims/Risk Manager

Position Overview

Catholic Mutual Group (CMG), established in 1889, is the leading provider of property, liability, and employee benefit coverage and related services for the Catholic Church across the United States and Canada. We are currently seeking an Assistant Claims/Risk Manager to join our team in St. Paul, MN.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify coverage, investigate and negotiate fair property settlements, liability claims and auto claims
• Conduct annual safety inspections and promote safety awareness through seminars and educational materials
• Maintain communication with diocesan personnel, pastors, and administrators
• Act as liaison between the Arch/Diocese and CMG Home Office
• Affiliate with the Claims/Risk Manager with various risk management functions
• Respond to emergencies and claim issues during irregular hours as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience property claims adjusting preferred, but not required
• CT Casualty Adjuster license (all lines, except WC) required
• General understanding of insurance, marketing, rates, and communications
• College degree preferred
• Familiarity with Catholic Church procedures and hierarchy preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills

Pay

Pay range for this position: $88,731 to $110,914 per year.
