Assistant Civil Structural Designer
About the role
We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Structural Designer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Civil/Structural team, which is responsible for developing designs for structural layouts in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities. C&I is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients.
Responsibilities
- Create structural steel, reinforced concrete, and site design drawings.
- Use 3D modeling software to design structures. (CADWorx is preferred).
- The Structural Designer uses AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
- Assists others in gathering field information with supervision.
- Check own work for completeness before submitting it to leads.
- Filers plots, and checks prints in the project discipline file.
Requirements
- 2-year technical degree with a specialization in computer-aided drafting and design, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree from an engineering program with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
