ASSISTANT CHIEF RADIATION THERAPIST (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Health/Fox Chase Cancer Center

About the role

Aids in the daily operations of the Radiation department across all Fox Chase Cancer Center locations. Manages and trains technical staff, oversees administrative tasks such as billing, scheduling, and conducting weekly chart rounds. Ensures smooth patient flow, maintains high patient satisfaction, and participates in policy and procedure development and implementation. Facilitates communication between patients and staff. Represents the department at staff meetings and quality assurance committees.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and trains technical staff
• Coordinates administrative functions including billing, scheduling, and weekly chart rounds
• Captures and coordinates patient flow
• Maintains patient satisfaction
• Develops and implements policies and procedures
• Acts as a liaison between patients and staff
• Participates in departmental staff meetings and quality assurance committees

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapist Program required
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 5 years experience in Radiation Therapy required
• Regulatory Technologist (T) license required
