Assistant Chief Inspector

The Assistant Chief Inspector position at AirNet II is a key role within the company's maintenance team. Based in Columbus, OH, this position oversees the inspection and maintenance processes for a fleet of Beechcraft Barons and Bombardier Learjets.

Duties

  • Assist, supervise, and direct all inspection and maintenance personnel.
  • Absolutely ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms are executed before releasing products for return to service.
  • Maintain and update a file of pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, type certification data sheets, and airworthiness directives.
  • Determine that all technical data on all articles overhauled or repaired by the repair station are secured and kept up-to-date with the latest revisions by respective department inspectors.
  • Ensure that all military technical orders used in the overhaul and repair of components have been evaluated and approved by the FAA.
  • Ensure that periodic checks are made on all inspection tools and the calibration of precision test equipment used by the repair station and technicians who have their own precision equipment. Maintain a current record of these inspections and tests.
  • Determine that no defective, un-serviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the repair station.
  • Submit reports of defects or un-airworthy conditions in accordance with FAR 145.221.
  • Ensure the proper execution of FAA Form 337 when required, and/or a maintenance release.
  • Accomplish the final acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station by contract.
  • Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections of all articles processed by the repair station and record results as outlined in the Repair Station manual.
  • Provide for continuity of inspection responsibility, ensuring completion of required inspections when personnel shifts or assignments change.
  • Ensure that rejected and un-serviceable parts are handled in accordance with the Repair Station manual.
  • Absolutely ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service, and that the proper inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms required for such release are properly executed.
  • Maintain files of completed work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
  • Inspect all radio work that requires the qualification of an A&P technician, such as airframe structures, airframe electrical wiring, and weight and balance.
  • Absolutely ensure full compliance with the Repair Station manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Assist in completing maintenance tasks on the aircraft as needed.

Requirements

  • Must hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Minimum of 36 months of corporate jet experience.
  • Understand, read, and write English.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
