HCA FL Northwest Hospital is seeking a full-time Assistant Chief, Emergency Medicine Physician to join our practice in Margate, FL (a Fort Lauderdale suburb).

Emergency Department Details

• 55-bed Emergency Department
• Approximately 60,000 annual visits
• 50 hours of physician coverage
• 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• Approximately 2.2 patients per hour
• GME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency (established 2022)
• Admission rate of approximately 35%
• EMR: Meditech and Pdoc
• 24-hour in-house hospitalists and intensivists
• No floor code or consult responsibilities
• Interventional cardiac catheterization facility on-site

Incentives

• Independent Contractor (1099) status
• 100% occurrence-based malpractice coverage

Requirements

• ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Leadership or committee experience
