Assistant Center Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Center Manager, you will assume ultimate responsibility for all center operations—including production, quality compliance, finance, HR, and IT—when the Center Manager is absent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Company SOPs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in collecting and analyzing data to maintain center quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Collaborate with the Center Manager to meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements, safeguarding plasma purity, efficacy, and the safety of donors and employees.
• Work with quality personnel and the QA team to develop corrective action plans for any deficiencies identified during audits.
• Ensure the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations, complete required training, and maintain OSHA record‑keeping and reporting.
• Oversee employee recruitment, training, counseling, termination, and corrective‑action programs, adhering to HR policies and treating all employees fairly.
• Support the center’s marketing and advertising efforts.
• Travel overnight up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of a team or others.

Working Conditions

• Approximately 80% of the time spent standing or walking; occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 lb.
• About 60% of the time spent auditing, improving, and observing ongoing operations throughout the center.
• Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Required use of personal protective equipment while performing specific tasks in designated areas.
