About the Role
In conjunction with the Casino Manager, leads and manages the Casino operations including the core functions: day-to-day operational activities, guest relations, maintaining compliance in all gaming rules as per SQM, and directing the performance management of the Casino Staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities of the casino.
- Maintain compliance with all gaming rules and standards (SQM).
- Direct performance management of casino staff.
- Manage guest relations and ensure high-quality customer service.
- Identify expense reduction opportunities through cost efficiencies.
- Drive revenue growth through promotional and up-selling activities.
- Manage headcount to support the business needs of the vessel.
- Administer disciplinary actions, including coaching, counseling, or termination to improve performance.
- Motivate, develop, and manage an international staff in a positive and productive manner.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience internally as a Senior Casino Supervisor with consistently high performance ratings (shipboard experience preferred).
- One to two years of progressive supervisory experience in a casino function with resorts, cruise lines, or hotels.
- Satisfactory completion of a Gaming Board/Commission-approved dealer school.
- Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding rules and regulations.
- Ability to observe and recognize payout accuracy, dealer behavior, and associated activities.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service, including needs assessment, quality service standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
- Knowledge of human resources policies and practices.
- Proficiency with computers, internet access, and software such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or international equivalent) is preferred.
