Assistant Buyer - Retail

About the Role

Support the Retail Department with clerical and administrative responsibilities in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Run daily sales reports and analyze business for reorder opportunities.
• Work closely with vendors for input and new item creation.
• Assist in merchandising new items and floor moves.
• Work with store operations to recap in-store product events.
• Walk stores to ensure resort/division standards.
• Adhere to safety as an essential function of the job.
• Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Observe Company’s standards, work requirements, and rules of conduct.

Requirements

• 21 years of age.
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or combination of education and work experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license required by law or policy.
• 5 years of retail experience.
• Data entry and 10-key proficiencies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and Team Members of different backgrounds and experience levels.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Lift or carry 10 pounds unassisted.
• Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, Team Members, and outside contacts.
• Ability to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
• Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• Work indoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
