Job Responsibilities
- Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers and in compliance with the set objectives, in order to meet the expectations of the internal stakeholders
- Manage the categories of goods in accordance with the technical requirements concerned and in the interest of business optimization
- Promote the development of economies of scale and the improvement and optimization of relationships, making uniform and centralizing control of the Suppliers Management/purchasing process
- Participate in the supplier selection process
- Monitor the suitability of the requirements of suppliers in relation to the needs of the Group
- Implement the best practices for managing the purchasing process
- Interface with the organizational positions of the Sofidel America Purchasing Department and the other corporate departments in the execution of their operations
- Promote a corporate culture based on safety
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent business experience
- 3+ years’ Purchasing and Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines
- Customer service – internal and external
- Experience with SAP preferred
