Assistant Buyer
About the role
You'll be a crucial part of our purchasing team, ensuring our stores are stocked with the best products at the best prices. You'll play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting our stores' success.
Essential Functions
- Manage weekly ordering for assigned product categories and/or stores, ensuring accuracy and meeting order deadlines, and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate cost and retail pricing information, optimizing profitability and customer value.
- Aid stores with pricing special orders, they have placed.
- Monitor and adjust minimum/maximum inventory levels to meet purchasing needs and maintain optimal stock positions.
- Participate in maintaining weekly records related to budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Ensure purchase order accuracy and integrity, minimizing errors and maximizing efficiency.
- Ensure accurate product entry and data management in our systems.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team on product entry/exit strategies and inactivation.
- Provide support to stores during emergencies, including coverage as needed.
- Conduct competitive shopping to analyze product offerings and pricing strategies.
