About the role
The Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) oversees the functions of the business office at North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope, MN. Reporting directly to the onsite business office manager, this position is responsible for maintaining billing and cash collections.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate billing and cash collections
- Oversee the functions of the business office
- Manage census data and perform financial screenings
- Ensure completeness and accuracy in resident financial files
- Document efforts per policy
- Work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Collaborate with other facility departments
- Audit accounts and adjust financial data
- Provide compassionate customer service
- Communicate with county agencies, managed care organizations, and residents/families
- Anticipate and act on collections proactively
- Manage Medicaid Pending and Private Collection Process
- Perform financial screenings and produce collection letters
- Use Point Click Care and industry software
Requirements
- Background in healthcare administration, patient accounts, medical billing, or a related field
- Experience in healthcare billing, Private collections, and patient financial services
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Medicaid Pending and Private Collection Process
- Ability to work independently
- Intermediate level computer use, especially industry software and MS Word and Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or similar (preferred)
- 1-2 years’ experience with Point Click Care
- 1-2 years’ experience in Long-term Care billing
- Comfortable working independently
Skills
- Skilled in Skilled Nursing Facility Healthcare Administration
- Skilled in Skilled Nursing Facility billing
- Knowledge of the Medicaid Pending and Private Collection Process
- Ability to communicate with county agencies, managed care organizations, and residents/families
- Experience in billing Managed care plans (a plus)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Customer service orientation
- Time management and multi-tasking skills

Pay
Earn a competitive salary between $28-$32 per hour (based on years of experience).
Schedule
This full-time position works an 8-hour shift: M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
