About the Role
Western Dental Services is seeking talented, passionate, and business-minded individuals to join our organization as an Associate Business Manager in the Northern California region. This role offers the opportunity to learn how to run a fully functioning dental practice under the guidance of a direct supervisor, gaining knowledge and skills that will benefit your career now and in the future.
As an Associate Business Manager, you will learn daily non-clinical operations of an assigned office, including patient satisfaction, revenue, profitability, team selection, performance, and development. You will also greet patients, coordinate treatment services, and nurture patient relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in completing doctor-prescribed treatment plans and help them get the care they need.
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Prepare new patient electronic charts accurately and efficiently.
- Collect and post payments, record receipts, balance nightly deposits, and complete credit card processing.
- Execute patient consults to ensure patients understand treatment plans, conduct patient chart audits, perform handoffs, and follow company policies.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor using company practice management software.
- Follow up with patients during subsequent visits to schedule open treatment.
- Work with the doctor and patient to ensure completion of treatment plans, uncover and remove patient barriers, and educate patients on insurance benefits and payment options.
- Alert the doctor when patients have clinical questions and follow up with patients to review completed treatment and schedule appointments for open treatment.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a sales or retail environment; some combination of management and sales preferred.
- Four-year college degree (preferred).
- Demonstrates the ability to solve common problems and provide immediate solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
