Responsibilities and Duties
- Affords assistance to operations, ensuring adherence to bank policy and procedure.
- Performs personal banking duties, including advising customers about bank services, opening new accounts, and performing teller functions.
- Serves as supervisor, overseeing daily activities of retail branch personnel to achieve branch goals, which involves assigning tasks, ensuring quality work, scheduling, conducting performance reviews, recommending salary adjustments, and providing training for staff.
- Promotes bank services and participates in community-related activities.
- Engages in customer service-related duties such as answering telephones, closing accounts, ordering checks, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Ensures compliance with branch policies and guidelines, reviews reports, audits, and manages NSF issues.
- Assists with budget preparation.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Full understanding of banking products and services, actively seeking out updates on any changes.
- Broad knowledge of banking regulations and bank policies and procedures.
- Expertise in deposit account products and services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of bank operations.
- Proven supervisory skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using computer terminals, printers, back counter capture machines, coin machines, and copiers.
- High level of confidentiality and ability to train employees.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent customer service.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to function as part of a cohesive unit.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred 4-5 years of related banking experience.
