Assistant Branch Manager
About the role
The Assistant Branch Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates. They manage the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager, assist in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability, and coordinate various operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supports the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
- Manages the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
- Aids the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
- Assists with the coordination of procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with organizational policies.
- Solves problems at the branch level, including investigating customer complaints and making necessary resource adjustments.
- Manages operational branch level problems, investigates inventory discrepancies, and makes adjustments as required.
- Serves customers and supports the counter and inside sales functions as necessary.
- Ensures all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Schedules staff and analyzes budgets and variances.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle, for more than 20% of the average work week. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be conducted if selected for this position. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
- Spanish language proficiency.
Qualifications
An Assistant Branch Manager at White Cap generally has 5+ years of experience. This position requires operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle, for more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
Skills
Preferred qualifications include fork lift experience, proficiency in sales order computer software, knowledge of construction and industrial products, and Spanish language proficiency.
