Assistant Branch Manager

About the role

You will lead the inventory controls and warehouse teams at the branch. You will have the opportunity to develop and mentor others, ensuring everyone is valued and contributing to the success of the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and guide the team to ensure efficient and economical accomplishment of Dexter’s mission and goals.
  • Prepare schedules and set deadlines to ensure products are ready and available when customers need them.
  • Report to the Branch Manager and act as Acting Branch Manager when they are out.

Requirements

  • An associate degree with at least 4 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Safety focused: following safety protocols to keep everyone safe.
  • Growth oriented: taking pride in seeing the branch grow in capabilities, customer base, and sales.
  • Customer service focused: seeing from the customers' perspective and training the team to be best in class with customers.
  • Team focused: providing the team with the tools needed to succeed and having honest but compassionate conversations for individual development.
  • Business savvy: possessing organizational skills to manage day-to-day business and operations including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and supporting sales and recruitment of new employees.
  • Great multitaskers and highly organized: able to handle multiple tasks and challenges head-on.
  • Comfortable with computers and systems: proficient in using systems for customer inquiries, credits, PO transfers, and inventory management, and able to train others effectively.
