About the role
The Assistant Branch Manager assists the Branch Manager in the administration and daily operations of a full service branch office. Key responsibilities include member service, product sales, lending, and branch compliance. This position also supervises and develops staff, drives member satisfaction, and enhances the credit union's visibility.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the coaching and development of branch staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce.
- Train and develop other staff in all branch functions and Blaze policies and procedures.
- Coach staff on sales techniques and loan procedures to meet monthly CORE product goals.
- Communicate development and performance issues and employee recognition opportunities to the Branch Manager.
- Pursue networking opportunities in the community and expand knowledge of industry trends.
- Support daily branch activities and assist in meeting branch and Credit Union goals.
- Back up the New Account and loan application process as needed.
- Communicate concerns and accolades to the Branch Manager regarding member relationships and sales expectations.
- Research member problems and questions, making necessary corrections.
- Ensure the branch follows and maintains security policies, internal controls, and procedures.
- Oversee monthly branch audits and ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
- Work with the Internal Auditor during branch audits as necessary.
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3-4 years of similar or related experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated strong sales skills and ability to identify member needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills
