Assistant Branch Manager
About the role
We are hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in Assonet, MA. This position is open and targets candidates with 3+ years of experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Branch Manager in managing route drivers and customer deliveries.
- Partners with the Branch Manager for safety management, sales advancement, staff development, and facility maintenance.
- Fosters alignment with regulatory agencies and Airgas policies and procedures.
- Supports the day-to-day operations of the retail store, including compliance, sales, warehousing, and distribution.
- Coordinates marketing plans and sales promotional activities.
- Coordinates customer deliveries and manages branch inventory.
- Maintains store operations and supports merchandising efforts.
- Partners with the Branch Manager on team coaching and facility maintenance.
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of experience in relevant fields.
- Action-oriented contributor with experience in creating and implementing plans.
- Demonstrated knowledge of order entry, data research, and computer skills.
- A thorough understanding of products, services, and associated technologies.
- Experience guiding a team of six or more associates.
- Ability to safely move items up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs.
- Capability to perform calculations and understand business-related documents.
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft/Google Office applications.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
Qualifications
- Associates’ Degree in Business, Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft/Google Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of SAP is considered a valuable addition.
