Assistant Boys Basketball Coach (WMS)

About the role

Washington Middle School is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026–2027 school year. This position supports the Head Basketball Coach in developing and maintaining a successful middle school basketball program while providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of basketball, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment. The Assistant Coach will play an important role in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, while serving as a positive role model for all participants.

• Helping coordinate competitions

Qualifications

• Knowledge and/or experience in basketball
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to student-athlete development and well-being
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and school staff
• Willingness to support a positive and inclusive team culture
