Duties
- Assist the basketball coaching staff with all aspects of the Spring Lake Park Boys Basketball Junior Varsity Program
- Set up practices, games, and schedules for the program
- Supervision of athletes at practices and games
- Care and maintenance of program equipment
- Arranging team transportation
- Work with booster club
- Regular meetings with other coaches to evaluate goals of the overall program
- Adjust work schedule for practices and games
Qualifications
- Strong background in high school and/or college basketball as a player and/or coach is required
- Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities
- Leadership skills including organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution
- Ability to work with student athletes, parents, staff, and community
Preferences
- BA/BS Degree and MN Teaching License with coaching certificate OR equivalent
- Previous experience working with high school age students
- Previous experience as a coach preferred
Pay
Stipend of $5,250.00 (may be pro-rated based on FTE of assignment)
