Assistant Boys Basketball Coach (DCHS)
About the role
Dawson County High School is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026–2027 school year. This position supports the Head Basketball Coach in developing and maintaining a successful basketball program while providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of basketball, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment. The Assistant Coach will play an important role in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, while serving as a positive role model for all participants. Glendive Public Schools may have additional coaching and professional opportunities available for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with practices
- Supporting athlete development
- Helping coordinate competitions
- Contributing to the overall success of the program
Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience in basketball
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student-athlete development and well-being
- Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and school staff
- Willingness to support a positive and inclusive team culture
