Assistant Baker

About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently seeking a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate superhero abilities in the kitchen, following recipes and paying close attention to details to create unique breads.
• Lift and move large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work through changes and remain flexible while maintaining focus on the baking process.
• Work afternoons and evenings, including Sundays when the store is closed, and potentially overnight during holiday seasons.

Requirements

• Proven track record of baking and pastry skills.
• Lifting and moving heavy items as part of the job.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• At least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking and pastry experience (preferred but not required).
• Formal baking and pastry education (a bonus).

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $12 per hour.

Schedule

Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons, the schedule may include overnight shifts.
