Our Employment Law Section’s Workers’ Compensation Defense Unit is seeking an experienced, licensed litigation attorney to represent State employers before the Industrial Commission and courts throughout Ohio.

About the role

This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to the schedule based on training and operational needs. The position is headquartered in our Columbus, Ohio office.

Responsibilities

  • Represent State employers before the Industrial Commission and courts throughout Ohio
  • Participate in administrative hearings at the Industrial Commission of Ohio
  • Handle 4123.512 court appeals

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience participating in administrative hearings at the Industrial Commission of Ohio
  • Litigation experience handling 4123.512 court appeals

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of litigation experience handling 4123.512 appeals and hearing work before the Ohio Industrial Commission

Schedule
