Assistant Attorney General- Workers' Compensation
About the role
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking to fill Assistant Attorney General openings in their Workers' Compensation Section at headquarters in Columbus and Cincinnati. The ideal candidates will preferably have two years of experience to represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio in common pleas and/or the appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Responsibilities
- Case management
- Settlement evaluations and negotiations
- Motion practice
- Discovery (written and depositions)
- Trial and appellate court appearances
- Occasionally administrative hearings
- Writing appellate briefs
- Oral advocacy
Requirements
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code. Two years or more of experience working as an Attorney.
