About the role
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for an opening in the Court of Claims Section. The successful candidate will take on a dynamic caseload defending civil lawsuits in the Ohio Court of Claims. Duties will include all facets of general litigation, including written discovery, depositions, pleading and motion practice, trial and appellate practice.
Responsibilities
- Litigate a variety of civil cases, including but not limited to, personal injury, wrongful death, employment law, medical malpractice and general negligence.
- Take on a dynamic caseload defending civil lawsuits in the Ohio Court of Claims.
- Work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule based in Columbus.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
- 3+ years litigation experience is preferred but not required.
