Job Summary
About the role
This position is located at the South Cobb Aquatic Center.
Essential Job Functions
- Plans and implements short and long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for the Aquatic Center.
- Affirms all programs/facility’s operations are in full compliance with all procedures and guidelines of the Division, Department, and County policy.
- Prepares financial, registration, attendance, and special projects reports, memos, and correspondence for the center.
- Maintains communication with the user groups, other department units, and the general public to assure effective operation of programs and facility.
- Receives and deals with requests, complaints or concerns from the public.
- Performs supervisory responsibilities in compliance with County policies and procedure.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Recreation, Recreation and Parks Management or a related field.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Three years related experience in aquatics field including managing public swimming pools, physical plant operations, supervision of staff, programs and fiscal responsibilities.
- Ability to certify/train staff in lifeguard and swim instructions.
- Lifeguard Instructor Certification; Water Safety Instructor Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool Operator Certification preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Supplemental Information
- Salary Grade: 52
- Status: Exempt
