About the role
The University of Tampa's Athletic Department has a position available for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services. This position reports to the head athletic trainer.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat and provide rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Review and document injuries.
- Provide referrals for appropriate medical care.
- Provide athletic training services on the field or court, at practices and events.
- Manage insurance and other documentation necessary for proper medical care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- One year of NATABOC certified experience required.
- Experience supervising and teaching student athletic trainers preferred.
- Florida licensed or eligible.
- Good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
- Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
- Ability to forge a working relationship with college level athletics and coaches.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
