Assistant Athletic Trainer

About the role

The Athletic Trainer will provide quality health care primarily to their assigned sport (Mens and Womens Track and Field) but support other staff members with health care for all 400+ student-athletes at Illinois State University.

Responsibilities

• Practice coverage
• Competition coverage
• Treatment
• Rehabilitation
• Post-injury care
• Injury prevention
• Facilitation of physician referrals

Requirements

Serving as a Preceptor in the athletic training education program and additional administrative duties will be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program
• Current certification as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC)
• Experience working with collegiate athletes
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
