Assistant Athletic Trainer

About the role

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head athletic trainer in the day-to-day operations of the athletic training department. Duties include appropriate application of emergency procedures, providing first aid, documentation of care, and communication with coaches and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating injuries and developing treatment and exercise plans
• Conduct injury screening sessions and education programs
• Educate students, families, and coaches regarding injuries, risk factors, and exercise programs
• Implement individualized therapeutic intervention and monitor response to therapy to ensure client safety
• Attend games and practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or similar field
• Valid Drivers License
• 2-5 years experience in athletic training or clinical application
• Certification as an Athletic Trainer
• Possess CPR and First Aid certifications

Pay

$55,000 - $56,000 annually
