Responsibilities
The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides professional health care, prevention, rehabilitation, first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and counseling for all students. The position assists the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine (Head Athletic Trainer) with providing therapy services, treatment planning, and patient care enhancement.
Requirements
Possess and maintain NATA and CPR/First Aid certifications. Possess the ability to provide proper injury evaluation, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletic injuries. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Possess flexibility, confidence, and the ability to work independently as well as contributing to team efforts and objectives. Possess the ability to manage competing priorities effectively are important. Weekend coverage and overnight travel with assigned teams are mandatory.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with an Athletic Trainer Certification. 1-3 years experience.
