About the role

Masters Academy International is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide essential clinical care to protect the health, safety, and holistic well-being of all student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care by preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries, while delivering rapid emergency management during practices and home games.
  • Design individualized recovery plans and foster an inclusive, student-centered environment that balances physical health with vital social-emotional and mental wellness support.
  • Collaborate closely with coaches, families, and student well-being teams to communicate recovery milestones and ensure a coordinated approach to athlete care.
  • Assist in the oversight of daily training room operations, maintain meticulous health records, and uphold strict safety protocols to support a safe, equitable, and high-performing athletic culture.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in athletic training, preferably in a high-performance independent school or collegiate setting.
  • Credentials: Board of Certification (BOC) certified and current state licensure (or eligibility); CPR/First Aid/AED and BLS certifications required.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated success in injury prevention and emergency management.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HIPAA, EAP development, and modern rehabilitation practices.
