Responsibilities
- Coordinate schedules for athletic trainers and athletic teams for treatment and athletic training oversight during games and practices.
- Provide athletic training to NCF students.
- Maintain and coordinate electronic medical records, ensuring that documentation is complete and up-to-date for patients.
- Care for and coordinate medical care for injured athletes, including coordinating with outside medical referrals.
- Coordinate between athletes and secondary insurance.
- Coordinate with counseling services for athletes in need of clinical or sports performance interventions.
- Manage inventory, including preparing monthly reports/documentation, making requests for new supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Masters in Athletic Training and must be a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in Florida and credentialed as Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC).
- If active or with a history of physical or mental health condition, must provide a letter from a licensed health care practitioner explaining the impact the condition may have on the ability to practice the profession with reasonable skill and safety.
- The letter must specify that the applicant is safe to practice the profession without restrictions or specifically indicate the restrictions that are necessary to enable performance of the essential functions.
- Four (4) years working in athletic training related areas, with at least two (2) of those years in collegiate settings.
