Job Description

As we enter the third year of the public phase of Soaring Higher: the Campaign for Boston College, we invite you to join our community. Qualifications

  • The salary range for this position is based on the listed levels, with the final salary determined by various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and internal equity considerations:
    • Assistant Director, 1-3 years of fundraising or directly related experience: $78,100 - $97,650
    • Associate Director, 3-5 years of fundraising or directly related experience: $90,600 - $113,250
    • Sr. Associate Director, 5+ years of fundraising or directly related experience: $110,300 - $137,900

Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree; a graduate degree preferred.
  • The minimum requirements are 1-3 years of professional-level experience in corporate and foundation fundraising at the Assistant Director level, 3-5 years at the Associate Director level, and 5+ years at the Sr. Associate Director level.
  • To be eligible for consideration for the Senior Associate Director, a candidate must demonstrate leadership, self-direction, initiative, and problem-solving ability and successfully manage a major corporate and/or foundation prospect portfolio.
  • Preference for experience at an institution of higher education or a hospital at all levels.
  • A combination of corporate, foundation, or organizational fundraising and other directly transferable experience from fields such as government grant-seeking or corporate philanthropy will be considered for all levels.

Qualifications

  • The position requires excellent interpersonal skills;
  • A demonstrated ability to compose strong, clearly written material, including general correspondence and major proposals that articulate funding priorities.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to speak and write persuasively on higher education;
  • A working knowledge of research resources for corporate and foundation fundraising;
  • Familiarity with Windows PCs, the Microsoft Office suite, and the Google suite.
