Assistant/Associate Professor of Women's Reproductive Health Psychiatry

Board‑certified or eligible Psychiatrist to join a clinical and research team within the Department of Psychiatry, focusing on Women’s Reproductive Mental Health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to women during reproductive life events such as preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, follow‑up treatments, and consultations in outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop clinical, educational, and research initiatives.
  • Teach trainees—including fellows, residents, and medical students—and implement innovative training programs.
  • Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publishing, and presenting at national and international forums.
  • Participate in departmental activities and foster an environment of inquiry and innovation.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of a 4‑year psychiatry residency.
  • Experience or training in reproductive psychiatry.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry (or eligibility).
  • Eligibility for faculty appointment and medical licensure in Texas.
  • Strong record in clinical service, education, and research.
  • Commitment to advancing mental health care for women in underserved communities.
