Assistant/Associate Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine – Clinician Educator (CE)

About the role

The successful candidate will be a Clinician Educator (CE) in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. They will contribute to the field through scholarship that brings new knowledge and advances the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and supervise day-to-day operations of the Internal Medicine service.
• Instruct veterinary students rotating through the service and mentor internal medicine residents.
• Participate in classroom/laboratory teaching.

Requirements

• History of or potential as an exemplary clinician educator, researcher, and academic leader.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical service and teaching.
• A record or potential to develop a scholarly research program that advances the field of internal medicine.
• Board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine from the American or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, or completion of an internal medicine residency program at an accredited university within 24 months of employment.

• Board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine from the American or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, or completion of an internal medicine residency program at an accredited university within 24 months of employment.
