ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders in the outpatient and hospital settings
  2. Perform electrodiagnostic tests in both the outpatient and hospital settings
  3. Attend on the consult service at the RWJUH according to a schedule determined by the Chair or Division Chief
  4. Participate in night and weekend call
  5. Participate in the educational activities of the Department including lecturing students and residents, and supervision of the resident clinic
  6. Participate in the administrative activities of the Department
  7. Participate in the clinical neuromuscular research program
  8. Participate in the General Neurology clinic at RWJ and satellite clinics as needed
  9. Teach and mentor fellows, supervise Neurology residents and rotating residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars; teach medical students in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars or in formal lectures in the pre-clinical setting
  10. Provide neurological care for indigent patients, advise lay community groups in the area of neurological disorders according to a schedule to be determined by the Chair and Division Chief
  11. Participate in the consult rotation and the weekend call schedules
  12. Attend departmental and institutional faculty/other meetings
  13. Participate in administrative tasks including membership in standing or ad hoc departmental and institutional committees
