ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders in the outpatient and hospital settings
- Perform electrodiagnostic tests in both the outpatient and hospital settings
- Attend on the consult service at the RWJUH according to a schedule determined by the Chair or Division Chief
- Participate in night and weekend call
- Participate in the educational activities of the Department including lecturing students and residents, and supervision of the resident clinic
- Participate in the administrative activities of the Department
- Participate in the clinical neuromuscular research program
- Participate in the General Neurology clinic at RWJ and satellite clinics as needed
- Teach and mentor fellows, supervise Neurology residents and rotating residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars; teach medical students in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars or in formal lectures in the pre-clinical setting
- Provide neurological care for indigent patients, advise lay community groups in the area of neurological disorders according to a schedule to be determined by the Chair and Division Chief
- Participate in the consult rotation and the weekend call schedules
- Attend departmental and institutional faculty/other meetings
- Participate in administrative tasks including membership in standing or ad hoc departmental and institutional committees
