About the role
Tenure-track faculty position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics at the rank of Assistant Professor. Exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will also be considered.
We seek applicants with outstanding research accomplishments and the potential to develop an internationally recognized research program in theoretical condensed matter physics, and to strengthen undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring.
The search is open to all areas of theoretical condensed matter physics. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research expands the department’s condensed matter program through:
- Computational studies of quantum many-body systems and quantum materials that combine advanced numerics with analytical insight, and/or
- Condensed matter physics at the interface with quantum information science or advanced machine learning.
We welcome candidates who will enrich our active and intellectually diverse condensed matter group and participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives in quantum science.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field.
