Responsibilities

Provide leadership in community and population health and contribute to a full range of faculty activities: teaching, research/scholarly activity, and service. Secure external funding in support of programs and research, teach in PhD, DNP, and/or BSN programs, advise doctoral students, and support students in scholarship/research.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Doctoral Degree from an accredited university program.
  • EXPERIENCE: Evidence of professional excellence in a full range of faculty activities including teaching, research/scholarly activity, and service, as well as practice where appropriate.
  • LICENSES: Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee is required. Evidence of scholarship, including publications, presentations, and grant funding, is required. Active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is required.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Departmental Preferences

  • DOCUMENTED HIGH-Quality DIDACTIC TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN A GRADUATE PROGRAM IS DESIRED.
  • PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HOLD A RELATED BOARD CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE WHERE APPLICABLE (i.e., RN, PRN).
  • PREFERENCES WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHOSE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SCHOLARSHIP INTEREST INCLUDE COMMUNITY AND POPULATION HEALTH.
  • MUST BE WILLY TO LOCATE TO THE MEMPHIS, TN AREA.
