Job Summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a faculty member in the Department of Adolescent Medicine to provide clinical services at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing exemplary, state-of-the-art, compassionate care to patients in the department.
  • Serving both inpatient and outpatient patients.
  • Focusing on program development for eating disorders.
  • Supervising medical and mental health learners providing services in outpatient clinics.
  • Having an active role in the College of Medicine and graduate/fellowship training programs.
  • Lecturing, participating in small group and individual student instruction as required.
  • Engaging in professional development.
  • Presenting general pediatric grand rounds once per year and participating in noon conferences.
  • Supporting and contributing to the scholarly activities of the Division.

Required Education

PhD or equivalent.

Required related experience: Previous experience providing psychological services to adolescents.

License/Registration/Certification: Certification or eligibility by the American Psychological Association, valid license issued by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment.

Program Development

Focusing on program development for eating disorders.

Teaching

Professional Development

Presenting general pediatric grand rounds once per year and participating in noon conferences.

Support Scholarly Activities
